Kingdom Giving Fund Investor Summit 2023

01 — A stretched-thin team passes the baton

My first event in a long-term relationship with Kingdom Giving Fund. 2023's Investor Summit was hosted at the stunning Belmond El Encanto in Santa, Barbara, over three spectacular spring days.

02 — Creative process

I jumped in mid-planning process, but found ways to up the quality of the details and hospitality offered by designing beautiful communication pieces, personally introducing myself to each guest pre-event, and working personal touches into the schedule.

On-site, I managed the room block, car services, activity booking, the keynote Speaker (Pastor Rick Warren) and session rehearsals, the session programming, catering flow, transition times, and more so the staff team members could focus on connecting with their guests.

My favorite thing to do at events is scan the room during meals and sessions, looking for ways to meet guests' needs and exceed expectations. At this event, that sometimes meant overhearing someone mention their blood sugar was feeling low and providing a plate of macarons within minutes or learning a few guests were hoping to see whales and scheduling an afternoon cruise during free time.

This event featured lots of printed pieces, from name tags to menus to 55-page journals filled with guest biographies, statistics, devotions, and note-taking spaces.

Here are three of the highlights:

The theme of the event was "faithful stewardship". This journal cover creative was done by Rylie Swain at swainstudio.co.
One of our guests wrote devotions for each session based on scripture. I designed a card for each devotional time.
I worked a late-night dessert reception into the schedule, and featured a few of my own favorite cocktails as guests mingled.
